The SECURE Act Plan Amendment will be added to plans during 2026. This plan amendment will have to be signed and completed no later than Dec. 31, 2026.

As you may be aware, Congress enacted the SECURE Acts (1.0 & 2.0), both of which introduced a broad set of changes affecting retirement plans. While many provisions are optional or have delayed effective dates, certain requirements must be formally incorporated into your plan through an amendment in order to maintain compliance.

As we are preparing for this amendment, we will complete a review of your plan document. This review will include the preparation of the amendment based on how the plan has been operating, including provisions that may apply retroactively.

In the coming weeks and months, clients will receive communications related to these plan updates. The communications will provide instructions on the steps necessary to manage and complete these updates.
