Kevin Buckley is the Senior Vice President of Specialty and Actuarial Services at American Trust Retirement and has executive oversight of all aspects of providing service to our Administration-Only, ESOP, traditional plans and Defined Benefit plans, including Cash Balance plans. Entering the business in 1993, Kevin has led retirement recordkeeping operations for a large provider, established his own firm in 2003, APB Retirement, and merged his firm with American Trust in 2025. He also served as a Retirement Plan Advisor and Managing Director with Pensionmark Retirement from 2014 to 2025.
Kevin graduated from Allegheny College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics with a focus on Information Technology. In addition, Kevin earned his Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation from the Wharton School of Business and the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans (ISCEBS) in 1999.
He is an active member of many retirement plan-focused organizations, including Retirement Advisors and Designers of America (RADA), ASPPA and ISCEBS. Kevin is also the co-author of the book “Beating the Best: Winning Strategies to Improve Your Company’s 401(k)”.
