Ryan Bryte

Senior Vice President

As one of the fastest growing areas in the bank, Bryte is responsible for overseeing the division, including sales, service, and continued development of the retirement solution. Delivered in partnership with financial advisors, he is charged with growing relationships with broker dealers, banks, and registered investment advisory firms. Today, American Trust Retirement is recognized as a top retirement plan provider in the nation and has received recognition from PLANSPONSOR magazine.

Ryan graduated from Simpson College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management and has a Master of Arts degree in Business Administration from Clarke University in Dubuque. He has over 12 years of experience in the retirement industry, and has held the Series 7 and Series 63 securities licenses.


Jeff Kunkel, ERPA, QPA, QKA

Vice President, Compliance, Documents, and Testing Manager

As Vice President, Jeff manages the Compliance, Plan Document, and Testing departments. His team is responsible for ensuring that all retirement clients maintain their tax qualified status by keeping each plan up-to-date and in compliance with Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor laws. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Management. He has over 20 years of experience in the retirement industry. Jeff is an Enrolled Retirement Plan Agent (ERPA) and is enrolled to represent retirement plan clients before the Internal Revenue Service. In addition, he has attained the designations of Qualified Pension Administrator (QPA) and Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) under the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA).



Tim Reynolds, APA

Vice President, Client Services Manager― ATSelect

Tim manages the ATSelect market segment and functions of the transition team. He has over 20 years of experience in the retirement plan industry working with plan sponsors and intermediaries to maximize retirement savings and outcomes for their employees. Tim is a graduate of Western Illinois University, and holds the Accredited Pension Administrator designation through the National Institute of Pension Administrators (NIPA).


Jennifer Travis

Second Vice President and Trust Officer, Processing Manager

Jennifer began her career with American Trust in 2005. She holds an Associate of Applied Science degree, as well as an Account Clerk Diploma from Northeast Iowa Community College. Jennifer’s knowledge and experience in the retirement industry allows her to effectively manage the processing and system administration areas. She recognizes the need for improving efficiencies and processes as the demands of the retirement industry change.

Erick Kephart

Second Vice President, Client Services Manager―ATAdvantage

Erick graduated from Loras College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management.  During his tenure with American Trust, Erick has held a variety of positions, gaining valuable knowledge and insight in the experiences of plan sponsors and participants. He joined American Trust in 2011 as an enrollment specialist, bringing experience in 401(k) and pension accounts, specifically providing investment assistance, education of plan features, and instruction on retirement strategies to plan participants. Erick has held various positions, including relationship manager and client services supervisor. In these positions, he gained experience in fostering relationships with plan sponsors design and operation of their employer sponsored retirement plan, and providing daily oversight and direction to the Client Services Team.  As Second Vice President, Client Services Manager―ATAdvantage, Erick is responsible for identifying and implementing the team’s strategic initiatives while working directly with clients and providing oversight and direction of the client services team. He has held Series 6 and 63 securities licenses and is currently working to obtain the QKA designation.


Krista Lebeck

Participant Services Manager and Officer

Krista graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Loras College. She has been involved in the retirement industry for more than 15 years, working with both employer-sponsored plans, as well as a wide variety of individual wealth and investment products. As Participant Services Manager and Officer, Krista is responsible for managing the team of education consultants and retirement account specialists, and ensuring delivery of the highest level of service and support for our retirement plan participants.
